CNS ADVISORY: Email Phishing Scams

There have been a number of campus wide email phishing scams that reached a large number of email accounts over the weekend.  These types of email scams are designed to steal your account information and gain access to our college network. If you have already clicked on a link and have submitted your Juniata username and password, please follow the instructions located at to change your password immediately.

Signs that your computer or account has been compromised include a large number of undeliverable messages arriving in your inbox and a lot of messages that you DID NOT send showing up in your Sent Items folder as well as unexpected computer behavior. Please note that Campus Technology Services (CTS, CNS, TSC, and AIS) will NOT ask you to reset your network access, send your username and password, or submit your username and password to a web form in an email without proper and thorough communication to campus. We will always suggest that you update your password through the normal channels, using your work computer, webmail, or the account self-service portal.
